Part I - Is Your Learning Style Compatible With R110 Online?

 
1. Face-to-face interaction with the instructor is:

9. How would you describe your ability to assess your own progress?
  Excellent--I am able to accurately judge my progress in a course and keep track of my grades.
  Good. I am usually able to to recognize my strengths and weaknesses, and I am generally proactive about keeping track of my grades.
  I am often confused about my progress in my classes. I require frequent feedback from my instructor.
 
10. Although many courses are delivered solely online,  R110 Online requires that you come to campus three Saturdays (check Insite for dates).

Part II - Assess Your Technology Readiness
   
1. How would you describe your experience with E-mail? 
  Extensive--I use E-mail daily and I am able to attach and open files.
  Moderate--I have used E-mail periodically. I can paste text from a word processing document into an email message.
  Minimal--I rarely use E-mail.
 
2. What is your comfort level with computers? 
  Expert--I can run applications, install software, download and upload files, and do minor troubleshooting when needed.
  Intermediate--I can use word processing software, and sometimes need assistance with applications, software and file management.
  Beginner--I am uncomfortable with computers and have little experience using them.
 
3. Which answer best represents your computer access at the present time? 
  I will need to use a computer at a facility away from my primary place of residence, but I do not know where one is located or what hours they are open.
  I will need to use a computer at a facility away from my primary place of residence, but I know where at least two computers are located for my use and their hours of operation.
  I have an Internet-ready computer available to me either where I Iive or work, any time I need it.
 
4. How would you describe your feelings when asked to learn a new software package?
  Scared!--I prefer a lot of one-on-one assistance to learn new applications or technologies.
  Nervous--I may need a little help, but I think I can learn.
  Excited--I love to learn new things.

  I tread cautiously--I am somewhat apprehensive but try anyway.
